The
Personality Rooms
A highly popular tourist attraction in Norfolk.
In Collectors World you will find numerous rooms dedicated to personalities and eras, here are a few examples.
The Pink Room
The Pink Room is a tribute to the late Dame Barbara Cartland. Here she is remembered by what is probably the largest collection of original memorabilia belonging to this great English author. Amongst the collection are her Norman Hartnell dresses, manuscripts, jewellery, photographs and pictures.
Horatio Nelson
Nelson was educated in Downham Market and legend has it that he learned to sail on the River Great Ouse alongside Collectors World. The Nelson Room is full of many personal artefacts and maritime items of great historic interest. Of special note is the death mask of Nelson.
The Sixties
The liberating 60's is seen in this room with so much original material from various bands and individuals including Freddie and the Dreamers, DJ and musical writer and producer Mike Read. Also on display are radios, televisions, gramophones and tape recorders from that time and beyond.
Other themed rooms include Liza Goddard, the Ghosts of East Anglia, the Norwich Telephone Museum and more.
Collectors World has over 80 unique and fascinating collections on display including horse drawn carts and carriages, farming and household memorabilia, an old cobblers shop, an extensive doll exhibition including antique and unusual dolls.
"A wonderland of memories" says the Mail on Sunday.
"Takes the breath away" Sunday Telegraph.
